M7/ M250 Collimator

This collimator is specifically designed to work with both the M7 and the M250. It’s set for an initial zero distance of 100m and includes an LED Illuminator for low/ no light use.

Saves over $3,000 per squad-sized element… every year

The collimator saves a significant amount of time and ammunition during the initial zero process – enough to pay for itself within two trips to the range (for a squad sized element).

Allows for quick, accurate zero confirmation in any environment

A precise weapon system with a poor zero delivers precise, consistent misses. Misses cost lives and lead to failed missions. Avoid that by checking zero routinely, even in the field. The colimator makes it fast, easy, and accurate.

Establish or Confirm Zero in Seconds

Cut ammo costs and range time in half

Using the M7/ M250 Collimator during initial zero cuts time and ammunition requirements in half, and the process is extremely simple and fast. Shooters simply adjust sights to the center of the collimator grid (which we refer to as ‘common zero position’ or ‘CZP’) to get the weapon very close to zero (typically within 2 MOA).

At current ammo prices, using the M7/ M250 collimator will save over $3k per squad every year (enough to pay for the collimator several times over). That translates to savings of over $100 million at the division level over the life of the collimator.  It also saves time and other resources, which can be re-allocated to training.

More, importantly, though…

Rifles get dropped, bumped, taken apart, and even switched between shooters- all of which compromise zero. The Small Arms Collimator allows shooters to check zero quickly, whenever and wherever the need arises (i.e. after a jump, when issuing replacement rifles, or during pre-mission checks). Zero confirmation helps ensure that shooters deliver precise, first-round hits when it counts – in every fight

Features

Incredibly Accurate

Like all of our collimators, the M7/ M250 Collimator is accurate to better than 1 MOA. It’s also repeatable, meaning that any M7/ M250 Collimator can be used on any like weapon (i.e. another M7 set up the same way) with the same degree of accuracy.

Fast & Simple

Using the collimator for establishing or confirming zero takes less than 60 seconds. It’s extremely easy to use-  shooters can be taught to use a collimator in just a few minutes. There are no moving or interchangeable parts and no adjustments to complicate things.

Completely Passive

The SAC doesn’t emit light or require a down-range target. That means it can be used safely, anywhere- after infil, at a final firing position, etc.

Proven

Collimators have been fielded to the US DoD and to  military forces and law enforcement agencies around the world for years, with exceptional results.

6.8mm Mandrel

This collimator has a 6.8mm mandrel that’s designed and carefully manufactured to fit both the M7 and M250 weapon systems. The precision of the mandrel is key to the collimator’s unmatched accuracy.

Future-Proof Bumper

Most collimator models have a bumper for precise positioning of the mandrel inside the barrel. The positioning takes the flash hider or brake into account. This model has a removable spacer system- just in case the muzzle device (hider/ brake) ever changes.

Confidence Gauge

Collimators are extremely rugged and dependable, but we still include a gauge that allows end users to check the quickly collimator to ensure that it hasn’t been damaged in a way that might compromise accuracy.

Hybrid Reticle

The M7/ M250 Collimator features a hybrid reticle that allows for use without magnification while still giving users the ability to get ultra-precise readings with magnified optics.

LED Illuminator

An included LED illuminator, shown here in its storage position, provides backlight to the collimator grid in low/no-light conditions. It doesn’t turn on until fully seated, and the light is red and minimal, so it can be used safely in operational environments.
